In the concert series of Mozart in Residenz, guest experience Mozart's classical music first hand, enjoying some of Mozart’s finest works in the city of his birth. Our Conferencier, dressed in original baroque attire, moderates the concert, in order to give our guests an idea of the time of Mozart's life, his work, and his relationship to the city of Salzburg and its archbishop.Listen to stories and witty anecdotes accompanying the concert. Our renowned and critically acclaimed chamber orchestra presents a diverse Mozart program.

The concert series is played by an acclaimed ensemble (the Salzburg Mozart Players) with members of the Camerata Orchestra and the famous Mozarteum Orchestra of Salzburg. Nowhere else will you be able to experience Mozart in such a vivid way as in the heart of Salzburg. Mozart's genius and his creativity can rarely be experienced as authentically as in the concert series of Mozart in Residenz.

Venues

The chamber Orchestra of Mozart in Residenz plays in the heart of old Town Salzburg, at Mozart Square. The New Residence looks upon the magnificent fountain on Residence Square, the Cathedral and the Old Residence while adding its own special flair to Mozart Square.

The Kuenburg Hall
The Kuenburgsaal is a representative hall with a preserved wooden coffered ceiling from the 17th century in a part of the building of the New Residence in the old town of Salzburg.

Vienna Hall, Mozarteum Salzburg
The beautiful Viennese Hall with 200 seats - where mostly chamber concerts are taking place - impresses with its unique atmosphere. This jewel was built at the same time as the Great Hall with same exclusive ambiance.
