Description
With the new production of Mozart’s The Abduction from the Seraglio by the award-winning director Nurkan Erpulat, who was born in Turkey and came to Berlin as a student in the early 2000s, a new, authentic and, above all, direct look at this work – a true change in perspective – should now be taken. He points out that every piece of theater for him is an occasion for a discourse – for example about the sexual morality that underlies the story –, but above all The Abductio from the Seraglio is still a comedy for Nurkan Erpulat.
