Into the wondrously colourful fantastical world that the director and set designer Philippe Arlaud has created for this masterful 20th century opera, Markovics as Puck brings even more confusion to the story of amorous adventures and erotic complications that arise from a marital squabble between the fairy King Oberon and his wife Titania. Two other couples also become involved in the magical mix-up: Lysander and Hermia, and Helena and Demetrius. The only people who don’t get involved in fact are six craftsmen who happen to be rehearsing a play in the forest - or perhaps they do too?
